Revolutionising transport and storage systems for ‘dry’ bulk materials.

InBulk Technologies™ is a new venture from InterBulk Investments PLC.

History and Pedigree

InterBulk Investments PLC who were formed by Clyde Blowers who themselves were established in 1926 in Glasgow, Scotland, the company produced ‘soot blowers’, specialist boilers cleaning equipment for coal or oil fired marine and locomotive boilers.  Today the soot blowing business is known as Clyde Bergemann Power Group, where sootblowing has evolved to a much larger scale application.  The solutions driven business has around half the world market for boiler cleaning devices used in power generation plants, petrochemical plants, refineries, pulp and paper mills and other industrial applications dependent on combustion and heat exchange.

In 1993 Clyde Blowers moved into the area of pneumatic conveying.  Clyde Materials Handling was originally created from the integration of acquired companies.

It has been the development of dense phase conveying technology that allowed the creation of InBulk Technologies™ in 2003.

InBulk™ is focussed on the transportation, storage and discharge and conveying of a broad range of dry bulk solid materials including minerals, chemicals, petrochemical, plastics, food and pharmaceuticals, grains and a range for waste materials across a diverse industry spectrum.  Through dense phase pneumatic conveying innovations InBulk™ have developed the ISO-Veyor™, a form of tankcontainer that effectively allows powder and granular materials to flow (like a liquid) with the addition of an air supply.

In February 2006, InterBulk Investments purchased 100% of remaining stock from Clyde Blowers.  InterBulk Investments is an AIM listed company which is managed by the directors of Clyde Blowers.  At the same time InterBulk Investments also acquired UTT (United Transport Tankcontainers Holding BV), the 3rd largest tank container operating company with a world fleet of 6,500 tank containers, mainly for liquid chemical.  InBulk™ and UTT, together offer a “full solutions” provider for the intermodal movement of dry bulk commodities.
