ISO-Veyors™ offer many direct and indirect benefits to the environment.  The ISO-Veyor™ is a closed, sealed system resulting in zero opportunity for pollution of dry bulk material during transfers between modes.  There is a greatly reduced chance of accidental discharge into waterways, the atmosphere or other sensitive areas.  Balancing of loads between road-rail-sea through the practice of intermodal logistics has a significant effect on air pollution and no opportunity for contamination of the materials throughout the transport chain.

Intermodal transport is less polluting than if the journey were 100% by Road. Rail offers companies with regular flows a more environmentally friendly and efficient means of transportation. Rail solutions can be used for the main leg of the journey, with final short distances taken by road for JIT deliveries.

ISO-Veyors™ bring sustainable supply chains to your business with less journeys and material transfers and mitigated opportunities for pollution or degradation of materials.

In 2003, InBulk ISO-Veyors™ were used for the first time by Rugby Cement (now Cemex UK) The project entails deliveries of fly ash (PFA) from the Midlands to London by rail, and transferred to skeletal trailers for final mile by road.

So far 105,516 tons have been delivered, 98 discharges per unit or 3,908 discharges (40 units) Road miles saved so far is 1,289,640, which equates to 52 trips around the world. In 2003, Rugby cement received the good citizen award from motor weekly, to reflect the positive impact that the ISO-Veyor™ has made to road congestion and savings in pollution.
